仏教看護を、仏教精神をもったあらゆる看護実践と位置付け、仏教が看護実践において果たし得る役割の確認と、それをどのように看護教育のなかで具現化するのかということを思考した。この中では、統合医療としての捉え方や、既存の看護理論の背景に触れ、仏教の影響などを学ぶことで、学生に違和感ななく学ぶことができる。さらに仏教思想を通して省察することで、看護師自身の成熟と患者へのケアの質の向上に繋がるという点について考察した。
