![]() |
Cooperative learning has been gaining much attention. In the field of arts and crafts, there have been many reports on the introduction of cooperative learning into art appreciation activities using expression (A) modeling play, but there have been only a few reports on the introduction of cooperative learning into activities using expression (B) representation in pictures, three-dimensional objects, and crafts. This paper introduces positive interdependence through a cooperative learning approach to Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based subjects using expression (B), by investigating and analyzing growth in the following qualities and abilities: (1) knowledge and skills, (2) thinking, judgment, and expression, and (3) a proactive attitude toward learning. The results of the survey showed that, using a 5-point scale, about 90% of the students felt they had positively developed in each of the listed qualities and abilities. In addition, by text mining the children's free writing it was revealed that (1) mutually advising one another deepened their knowledge and skills, (2) exchanging ideas and concepts deepened their of ways of seeing and feeling, and (3) the efficacy of subjective learning created by their sense of fulfillment through cooperation was also confirmed.
