コンパクト型のMR流体ブレーキとそれを組込んだ制御型短下肢装具(I-AFO)を開発した.また,ギランバレー症候群の患者にあわせた制御システムを構築し,歩行時の足関節制御を行った.これらを実際の歩行において臨床評価し,開発したI-AFOおよびその制御の有効性を提示している.
