子ども期の再考をテーマに開催された国際教育史学会第32回大会において、コメニウス青年期の著書『孤児論』をとりあげ、フランスの社会史家アリエスが『子供の誕生』で立論した17世紀ヨーロッパにおける子どもへの眼差しの変化について、少なくとも教育思想のレベルとの間には乖離が見られることを論じた。
